About me

Welcome!

My name is Andy and I'm an audio sculptor. This is where I present my work.

I've been programming virtual audio sculpting tools for several years and in early 2008 I discovered freely available software that enables me to publish on the web in a three-dimensional virtual environment, much like the first-person view available in many video games.

If you'd like to jump straight in and experience the sculptures in 3d, go ahead and download the Octaga browser plug-in, install it on your computer and head over to the sculptures page.

I also upload a YouTube video of each sculpture for those that have reservations about installing 3rd party browser plug-ins or are unable to install Octaga. Just click the 'video' link on the sculptures page (next to the 'x3d' link). The quality of the videos isn't great and you can't move around inside them like you can in Octaga, but it gets the basic idea across.

Some of the sculptures are large so I've made them available for offline browsing as well. Just click the 'file' link to download the x3d file but make sure you also download the mp3 that goes with it and put it in the same folder. Octaga won't be able to find it if it's not in the same folder.

I have an email address at andy@audiosculptures.com, so feel free to drop me a line if you'd like.

Enjoy!
Andy F.
